A three-day gathering of several lakhs of people has started from Sunday with the participation of local and foreign devotees, visitors and pilgrims of two spiritual great saints of two religions at Tahirpur in Sunamganj border.

The three-day meeting started from Sunday morning on the bank of Jadukanta river adjacent to Hazrat Shah Arefin (RA) Asthanaya of Sahidabad on the border of Laudergarh of Tahirpur in the district and the Janmadham of Shri Advaita Prabhu (Panatirtha Dham) of Rajargaon.

Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of devotees from home and abroad have gathered at Ors Sthal in Tahirpur, Akhra Bari of Advaita Prabhu, ISKCON Mandir in Gadkati and nearby Gramin Haat Bazar and border villages to participate in Ors and Sanna Yatra festival.

According to the director of the ISKCON temple in Gadkati of the upazila, this time, devotees from all over the country will gather at the ISKCON temple and Sri Advaita Prabhu’s Janmadaham Rajargaon Ankhara house from Sunday morning to bathe in Pantirtha, the meeting place of all the tirthas.

Sunamganj Superintendent of Police Mohammad Ehsan Shah said that around Ors and Sannayatra festival, 5 separate temporary police forces have been deployed from Friday to ensure the security of domestic and foreign devotees, visitors and pilgrims at Ors ground, Advaita Prabhu’s Akhrabari, Jadukanta river Barunimela ground and Gadkati ISKCON temple. An outpost has been set up.
