Sylhet’s only organization of photojournalism, Bangladesh Photojournalist Association Sylhet Divisional Committee held Annual Family Day-2023.
Chakhum Gardening restaurant premises in Shibganj was filled with excitement and joy all day on Saturday around this family day. Sheikh Ashraful Alam Nasir, president of the association, announced the opening of this day-long event at 10:30 am after reaching Chakhum Gardening Restaurant premises.

Faisal Ahmad Chowdhury, chairman of Baraka Power Limited and publisher of daily Sylhet Mirror, was present as the chief guest in this program under the chairmanship of Sheikh Ashraful Alam Nasir, president of association, Sports and Cultural Secretary Abu Bakr.

Bangladesh Photojournalist Association Sylhet Divisional Committee General Secretary Ashkar Ibn Amin Lashkar Rabbi delivered the welcome address on the occasion.

In the speech of the chief guest, Faisal Ahmad Chowdhury said, such a one-day program with the members of Photojournalists Association Sylhet and their family members is a wonderful entertainment. Photojournalists show the real picture of the country and society through hard work.

He said, because photojournalists are always working in the field, they cannot spend time with their families. Family bond is strengthened through this family day. Later, children’s basketball, musical chair, women’s needle-yarn game and ball throwing game by association members were held under the direction of Abu Bakr, sports and cultural secretary of the club. In the last episode, members of Bangladesh Photojournalists Association Sylhet divisional committee and their sons and daughters and famous artist Shibbir Ahmad of Sylhet performed songs.

The chief guest Faisal Ahmed Chowdhury, president of the association Sheikh Ashraful Alam Nasir, general secretary Ashkar Ibn Amin Lashkar Rabbi, senior vice president distributed prizes among the winning children, wives and members of the competition.
