Distribution of iftar items and financial donations of Kachua Welfare Trust in Moulvibazar

On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan in Moulvibazar, Kachua Long-Bari Gustri Welfare Trust has distributed Iftar items and cash donations to various madrasas.

Maulana Fakruuddin Chowdhury Sahebzada Fultali was present as the chief guest at the Iftar material and donation distribution ceremony on Saturday (March 18) noon. Faizul Haque Tarafdar, Chaifuddin, Shah Ghiyas Uddin, Imam Maulana Shafiqur Rahman of Kachua Jame Masjid, Abdul Matlib, Hafiz Abdul Qayyum of Kachua Sunni Orphanage, Junael Uddin etc. were present as special guests.

Hasan Ahmed, Zakaria Ahmed, Yakub Hossain Rocky, Ujjal Ahmed, Hafiz Javed Ahmed and others were also present in the ceremony conducted by Rumon Ahmed and Khaledul Haque Tarafdar.
The leaders of the organization said that iftar items were distributed among 115 families, 8 thousand taka in cash was distributed among 25 families and 10 thousand taka was distributed to Kachua Madinatul Uloom Furkania Qariana Madrasa and 10 thousand taka in cash was distributed to Kachua Sunni Orphanage Hafizi Madrasah.

It is to be noted that Kachua ‘Lamba-Bari Gusti Welfare Trust’ of Ekatuna Union of Moulvibazar was established in 2021 during the Covid-19 pandemic. The first project of this trust was the renovation of the family cemetery in Kachua. The whole Gusti project was united. UK-based Md Shafiq Mia supervised the renovation of the cemetery with the funds of the trust. Later in February 2023, the trust organized the 127th anniversary of the establishment of Kachua Primary School. It may be noted that many of the members of Long Bari Gusti are engaged in business and professional jobs in the country and abroad including doctors, engineers and scientists. Among them is Professor Dr. Parvez Haris who has been listed as one of the world’s top scientists according to a study by Stanford University in the United States.
