Two policemen broke teeth of CNG driver, case

A case has been filed against two policemen of the highway police station for beating up a CNG driver and breaking his teeth in Shaistaganj of Habiganj. CNG owners and workers are angry about this incident. Moreover, such activities of the police have created a commotion.
CNG driver Shanto Mia, son of deceased Jitu Mia, son of Dariyapur village of Sadar Upazila filed a case against Naik Md Mohiuddin (30) and Constable Chadek Mia (28) of Shaestaganj Highway Police Station in the learned Senior Judicial Magistrate Amal-8 Court.
According to the details of the case, on March 14, after the CNG driver Shanto Mia dropped the wife of a BGB member near the Shaistaganj New Bridge petrol pump at around 11 am, the said persons unnecessarily pushed the car. On asking them the reason, the accused tried to take the car keys. At one point, they got angry and started beating him with sticks in their hands. The impact left the CNG driver with a broken upper tooth and serious injuries. Local people rescued him and admitted him to Sadar Hospital.
Meanwhile, the said two policemen took him to the CNGT highway police station. Shanto Mia did not get any justice and finally filed a case against them in the court on March 15. The judge took cognizance of the case and directed the PBI to submit a report. Advocate Ashraful Alam Faisal filed the case for the plaintiff. He said that the police seriously injured the left and broke his teeth. Hope he gets justice.
Shaistaganj Highway Police Station OC Mainul Islam said, I do not know the matter. I will take action knowing the details. On March 11, a TomTom driver was dragged and beaten up and taken to the police station for the same reason. When it goes viral on social media, there is a fuss about the matter. But even then, due to the lack of action, there was anger among the owners and workers regarding the activities of the police. It is said that they are preparing for a movement in this regard.
