Two groups of students clash in Shaistanagar over distribution of skulls, 15 injured

A clash between two groups of students took place in Shaestanagar over the distribution of annual milad mahfil at Yogendra Kishore and Harendra Kishore High School and College in Habiganj city. At least 15 people including pedestrians were injured. They were rescued and treated in different private clinics. At that time, traffic and shops were stopped on that road.
On Thursday (March 16) at noon, both sides clashed at Temunia Point in Shaistanagar by throwing bricks. At least 15 people were injured. After receiving the information, a group of police from Habiganj Sadar Model Police Station reached the spot and brought the situation under control.
According to local sources, the farewell reception and annual milad mahfil of 2023 SSC examinees was organized by Yogendra Kishore and Harendra Kishore High School and College. At the end of the welcome ceremony and milad mahfil, the discussion started with Rahat, Minhaj, Belal, residents of Shaistanagar area and ex-students of the school, Arman, Shibulu and Sourav, residents of the same school and residents of Mohanpur area of the city. At one point of the argument, they got into a fight inside the school. Later on getting the news, the Yukabras of Shaistanagar and Mohanpur areas got involved in a clash over latisota and brick. At least 15 people including pedestrians were injured.
On receiving the news, a group of police led by Assistant Superintendent of Police of Habiganj Sadar Circle Khalilur Rahman reached the spot and brought the situation under control.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Khalilur Rahman said that the clash started over the distribution of skullcaps in the school. Later, when both sides clashed, the police brought the situation under control. No one was arrested in this incident. Police are investigating the matter.
Acting Principal of Yogendra Kishore and Harendra Kishore High School and College Shah Md. Abul Hasan said that such a situation inside the school is not desirable. Legal action will be taken against those involved subject to investigation.
