An old man died due to electrocution in Madhavpur. The accident took place in Bengaduba village of Nayapara union of the upazila at around 12 noon on Thursday.

According to police and local sources, Abdul Ghafoor (55), son of deceased Hormuz Ali (55) of the village, was standing on the terrace of the under-construction residential house while installing the water tank. As a result, Abdul Gafur died on the spot due to electrocution.
