Bangladesh Bank has fixed the new schedule of bank transactions in the upcoming month of Ramzan. According to the new schedule, bank transactions will continue from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm during fasting.

A circular in this regard has been issued by Bangladesh Bank’s Offsite Supervision Department on Wednesday.

However, the bank can be kept open till 4 pm to take care of incidental work after the transaction. At present bank transactions are done from 10 am to 3 pm. And the bank is open till 5 pm.

Banks are generally open for business from 10 am to 4 pm and till 6 pm. However, in light of the government’s decision to save electricity and energy at this time of the dollar crisis, bank office hours were reduced by one hour at the end of last year.
