Four people including children were killed in a head-on collision between a pickup and a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw in Nandigram, Bogra. The accident took place at Kunderhat bus stand area of Nandigram upazila on Bogra-Natore highway on Monday (March 13) around 8 am. 3 people were killed on the spot and another later. They are auto-rickshaw driver Hefjul Islam (46), son of deceased Abu Taleb of Damgara village of Nandigram municipality, Abdul Alim (4), son of Tansen Ali of Omarpur village, and Rajshahi City College student Minhajul Islam (23), son of Sakhawat Hossain of Namuit village. Later, Shahidul Islam Momin of Hatdhuma village died while undergoing treatment. SI Hasnat Ali of Kunderhat Highway Police Station told reporters, ‘Three people, including the autorickshaw driver, were killed on the spot in the accident. Six other injured people have been sent to hospital. The autorickshaw and the pickup are in police custody.’
