Bangladesh could not win the ODI series against England despite fighting. The Tigers avenged that by defeating England, the world champion of two formats, in the T20 series. After winning the first of the three-match series in Chittagong, Shakib’s team won the second T20 match in Mirpur by 4 wickets. He confirmed the historic T20 series victory with one match in hand.

Like Chittagong, Shakib decided to bowl after winning the toss in Mirpur. After getting a well-known wicket, the batsman replaced Shamim Hossain with the spin all-rounder Mehdi Miraz. That Mirage made the difference with bat and ball. Jos Buttler’s England were bowled out for 117 on the last ball of his bowling.

England, however, got off to a good start. The second wicket was lost by exactly 50 runs. Then Mirage started pushing. Moeen Ali (15), Sam Curren (12) and Chris Woakes (nil) and Chris Jordan (3) picked up one by one. Earlier, opener Phil Salt scored 25 runs and returned to Shakib’s ball. Jos Buttler (4) bowled by Hasan Mahmood. Ben Duckett, who got out in the last over, scored 28 runs off 28 balls for the team.

Bangladesh did not get off to a good start in replying. The two Tiger openers Liton Das and Rony Talukder returned with 9 runs each. After that, Nazmul Shant and Tauhid started to trust the heart. Hriday, who made his debut in Chittagong against England, broke the pair after scoring 17 runs. Mehdi Miraj came down at five and made the match easy. He was caught for 20 runs with two sixes.

After the return of Mirage, Bangladesh made the match difficult. Shakib comes to the crease and returns to zero. Afif Hossain, the famous slugger, got out soon after. He added 2 runs. Nazmul Shanto played an unbeaten innings of 46 runs to win the Bangladesh team which was in a bit of a panic. Jai’s major achievement, however, is learning to bat. He hit two consecutive fours with seven balls to spare to win the series for the country.
