Terrorists fired on the car of Shahinur Rahman Shahin in Garznia of Ramu Upazila of Cox’s Bazar. Shahin narrowly survived but another innocent youth lost his life. Shahinur Rahman held an urgent press conference asking for the safety of his life. Police and BGB visited the spot. On Sunday morning, Shahinur Rahman along with his friend Irfan, a young man from Naikshyongchari, set out to enjoy the natural beauty of Chagalkhaiya rubber garden by bike. On the way, the armed terrorists of 11/12 targeted Shahinur Rahman’s car and started firing at a place called Majhir Kata, Mijjibar Kata, Muchgach Tala. Young Irfan (22) lost his life. It is said that the deceased Irfan is the son of Shafi Ullah Prakash Putu of bus station area of Naikxyongchari upazila. Shahin told reporters that in the morning he took his friend Irfan with him on a motorcycle to visit Chagalkhaiya rubber plantation. On the way, they were attacked by terrorists. Irfan was shot dead by terrorists. He suffers from extreme insecurity. He strongly demanded to ensure the safety of life to the concerned administration of the government. In this incident, there is extreme anxiety and panic in the entire Majhikata area of Gorznia Union. Local UP member Mohiuddin and Irrigation Project Manager Nurul Amin expressed grave concern over the heinous incident of terrorists. A police team led by IC Masud Rana of Ramu Gorznia police outpost and Chagalkhaiya BOP of Naikshyongchari 11 BGB visited the spot and collected evidence of the incident. When Irfan was taken to the Naikxyongchari Upazila Health Complex with bullet wounds, the doctor on duty declared him dead. Mourning is going on in the family and the whole area.
