BNP will not go to elections under Awami government: Mirza Fakhrul
BNP will hold rallies in all major cities of the country on March 18

The BNP and like-minded parties will hold a rally in all major cities of the country on Saturday, March 18, to protest against the increase in the prices of daily commodities and the abnormal increase in the price of electricity and to demand 10 points including the resignation of the government.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the protest rally program from the human chain held in front of the central office on Saturday.
Mirza Fakhrul said, to protest against the corruption of the totalitarian government, to implement the 10-point demand of BNP, including the demand to reduce the prices of daily necessities, protest rallies will be held in cities across the country on Saturday, March 18.
He said that Awami League has canceled the caretaker government system to stay in power for dishonest purposes and now Awami League wants to hold elections under the party government. But we are clear that the people of this country do not trust Awami League and Sheikh Hasina. BNP will not go to elections under Sheikh Hasina and Awami government.
Mirza Fakhrul said, after the resignation of this government, we are carrying out a peaceful movement to demand elections through a new election commission under the caretaker government. People are standing with us in the movement. Day by day the movement is getting stronger and stronger and this government will be swept away like the turbulent waves of that movement and then there will be no way to escape.
He said, this government wants to eliminate BNP and destroy BNP leadership. They systematically destroyed all the institutions of the country. The people of the country can no longer be fooled by destroying the communal harmony of the country. Today they want to stay in power by bribery.
BNP Standing Committee Member Mirza Abbas, Joint Secretary General Khairul Kabir Khokon, Organizing Secretary Abdus Salam Azad, Student Affairs Secretary Rakibul Islam Bakul, Juba Dal President Sultan held a human chain in front of the party’s central office in Nayapaltan under the chairmanship of Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP convener Abdus Salam and moderated by General Secretary Rafiqul Alam Majnoor. Salauddin Tuku, Chhatra Dal general secretary Saif Mahmud Jewell and others gave speeches.
