Bangladesh was saved from the shame of whitewash by winning the last ODI in Chittagong. Tomorrow, Bangladesh will play T20 against England at the same ground. Which will be Bangladesh’s second meeting with England in this format. Earlier, Bangladesh lost by 8 wickets in the 2021 World Cup.

So the T20 series starting tomorrow is the first bilateral series between the two teams in this format. When asked whether Bangladesh can win this series at home, head coach Hathurusinghe said he is not a magician. That is, he cannot say now what can happen.

Hathurusinghe said at the pre-match press conference at Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong, ‘I am not a magician. I am not a magician who can tell everything in advance. We will try to win.’

Hathurusingha hopes the youngsters can prove themselves against the world champions on the international stage, ‘I have no secret. I know what we can do. I expect that from the cricketers, they have been selected for the team, to show that on the international stage against the world champions. They have to figure out how to show it.’

Hathuru also said, ‘In our conditions, they (England) are better than us or we are better than them. It’s a great opportunity for us to see where our skills in T20 cricket are at the moment.’

Bangladesh has faded a lot in T20 compared to ODI. Bangladesh has won only 49 of 144 T20 matches so far. Lose in 92. 3 failed.
