Radwan Mujib’s tribute on behalf of the Prime Minister at the portrait of Bangabandhu

On the occasion of historical March 7, flowers were paid to the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi number 32.

On Tuesday (March 7) morning, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was paid floral tributes by her nephew Radwan Mujib Siddique Bobby, son of Bangabandhu’s younger daughter Sheikh Rehana. He stood there silently for a while as a sign of respect to the great architect of freedom.

Awami League leaders also paid floral tributes after laying wreaths on behalf of the Prime Minister. Under the leadership of Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader, Awami League presidium member Matia Chowdhury, Dr. Abdur Razzak, Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Abdur Rahman, Shajahan Khan, Joint General Secretary Hasan Mahmud, Mahbubu-ul Alam Hanif, AFM Bahauddin Nashim, Organizing Secretary Ahmad Hossain, Afzal Hossain, Sujit Roy Nandi, Publicity and Publication Secretary Abdus Sobhan. Golap, Office Secretary Biplab Barua, Science and Technology Affairs Secretary Eng. Abdus Sabur, Relief and Social Welfare Secretary Aminul Islam Amin, Deputy Publicity and Publication Secretary Abdul Awal Shamim, Deputy Office Secretary Sayem Khan and others.

After that, various political, social and cultural organizations and individuals including 14 parties paid tribute to the Father of the Nation.

March 7, 1971 is a unique day in the history of freedom struggle and liberation war of Bengali nation. On this day in 1971, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman called for the freedom struggle of Bangladesh, standing in a huge crowd at Suhrawardy Udyan (now Race Course Maidan). On this day, in the presence of millions of freedom-seeking people, this great leader announced in a thunderous voice, ‘When I have given blood, I will give more blood, I will free the people of this country, Insha’Allah. This struggle is the struggle for our liberation, this struggle is the struggle for freedom.
