Even if the politics changes, the fate of the martyred activists does not change: Adv. Zaman
Staff Reporter/
Advocate Samsuzzaman Zaman, founder and main sponsor of Bangladesh Citizen Solidarity Movement and Student Unity, president of editorial board of Shyamal Sylhet and adviser of Sylhet District Press Club, said that even if the politics changes, the fate of the tyagi and street leaders does not change. Those who hold politics hostage are not wiped out. It will be difficult to get out of the situation.
He said that a class of leaders are engrossed in luxury with luxurious cars by staying at a safe distance and pushing the youth to their death. We protested against dictatorship and fascism not to eat halwa bread. I did not do politics to gain interest by brokering with the police. I did politics to get the right of the people. Those who risked their lives and rocked the streets in this politics did not get any recognition. Today they are independent in their movement and struggle. And the banking class and the middle class are thriving today. So the deprived leaders and activists have to do their own thinking.
He said these things in his speech as the chief guest at a worker rally organized by Citizen Solidarity Movement and Student Unity, keeping the theme of ‘Sonar Mati Sonar Desh, Hriday Zhai Bangladesh’ in front of the slogan ‘Sonar Mati Sonar Desh, Hriday Zhaka Bangladesh’ at a community center in the city at 3 o’clock on Monday.
Advocate Zaman also said that the organization is not two social organizations in the worker’s meeting held under the chairmanship of Shahidul Islam Qadir and convener of Student Unity Badrul Azad Rana. This is the ‘revolutionary caravan’. Through which resistance will be built against radical doctrines of the society. Stopping people’s voices will lead to resistance.
He said, we want the guarantee of people’s food, clothes and shelter. We want people’s rights to be established. Justice and fair civil services should be ensured. So we will work shoulder to shoulder for the welfare of people. We will stand by the exploited deprived people when we get their call. Above all, the movement to establish a tolerant society should be accelerated.
When Advocate Zaman reached the venue, the venue shook with slogans such as Zaman bhai go ahead, we will come with you and Zaman bhai-zaman bhai.
Among the leaders of the two organizations, Professor Ajmal Hossain Raihan, Councilor Abdur Rakib Tuhin, Muhibur Rahman of Sylhet Sadar, Nizam Khan of South Surma, Kauchar Ahmad of Jaintapur, Dewan Kamran Ahmad, Russell Ahmad of Golapganj (1), Russell Ahmad (2), Zakir Ahmad of Companyganj spoke. , Iqbal Ahmad, Kamal Uddin, Siddeq Mia, Rashed-Uz Zaman.
