We will keep pace with the developed world: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that Bangladesh has progressed a lot in the last 14 years, “Bangladesh will not be left behind in any field.” We will keep pace with the developed world. Only then will a smart population with efficient technology knowledge be developed.
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the Bangabandhu Science and Technology Fellowship program organized at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital on Thursday.
Emphasizing on research, the Prime Minister further said that research can bring us success – it is now proven. Succeeded in animal and food production for research. Science and research are important to the nation. The Awami League government has established 12 science and technology universities in the country after coming to power.
The head of government said that the more research in various fields, the more the people of the country can play a role in economic development, the more the country will move forward. Therefore, the current government has emphasized on research.
The Prime Minister handed over checks for Bangabandhu Science and Technology Fellowship to 10 people, NST Fellowship to 21 and Special Research Grant to 16 from various universities and research institutes.
