Miscreants killed an auto bike driver named Raju Mia (20) of Sadullapur Upazila of Gaibandha by slitting his throat. A human chain program was held to demand the arrest and trial of those involved in this brutal murder.

Bangladesh Workers Pati, Sadullapur Upazila branch organized this program on Wednesday (March 1) afternoon. Comrade Makleshur Rahman, president of the district committee of the organization, Comrade Makleshur Rahman, general secretary of the upazila committee Comrade Kamrul Islam, Comrade Saiful Islam, Ripon Burman, Rajur’s mother Rabeya Begum, brother Azizar Rahman, Bulu Mia, spoke in the human chain held on the road adjacent to the public library and club in Sadullapur city. Speakers said that Raju Mia was making a living by driving an auto bike to support the family of a poor family. In the meantime, the miscreants brutally killed him by slitting his throat and stole the autobike. The killers involved in this murder are demanded to be immediately arrested and brought to justice.

Incidentally, on February 17, around 10 am, Raju Mia left home with his auto bike. After that, he did not return home until evening. Later, during a search by the relatives, the police recovered Raju’s throat-slit body from the Ram Prasad area of Kuptala Union of Sadar Upazila on the morning of February 18. The deceased Raju Mia is the son of Shafiul Islam (Bhundu) of North Bhangamore (Chander Baja) village of Damodarpur Union of Sadullapur Upazila.
