Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal said, “We are repeatedly appealing to the political parties, come and participate in the elections. If you have a difference of opinion, try to resolve it. Because, the Election Commission cannot do Murrabbiana.

He said this while talking to reporters after the voter’s day procession in front of the election hall of Agargaon in the capital on Thursday morning.

Apart from calling all the parties to come to the polls, Kazi Habibul Awal also highlighted all the steps taken by the commission to create a participatory and smooth environment in the elections. He said, “But we will politely and humbly ask all the political parties, participate in the elections in any way.” And create a balance in the polling stations by participating in the elections, so that through this balance a kind of impartiality and accuracy is established in the polling stations.’

The CEC mentioned that the voter turnout in various elections during their tenure was relatively low but satisfactory. However, he hoped that there would be “adequate” voter turnout in the parliamentary elections through competitive elections.

Election Commissioner Ahsan Habib Khan, Rasheda Sultana, Md. Alamgir, EC Secretary. Jahangir Alam and related officials were present.

In the morning, the procession left the election building and circled the various roads of Agargaon and ended in front of the election building. The EC has also organized a discussion meeting on the occasion of the day this afternoon.
