Inter school science fair and prize distribution held at Srimangal

A day-long inter-school science fair and prize distribution was organized at Srimangal in Moulvibazar.
The day-long fair was held at Srimangal Udayan Girls High School on February 27.
26 schools and 4 mardasas of Srimangal Upazila participated in the science fair in collaboration with Bangladesh Freedom Foundation Dhaka and implementation of Multipurpose Socio Economic Development Association (MCIDA). The Budds Residential Model School and College won 1st prize in Project Exhibition in Inter-School Science Fair, Border Guard Public High School won 2nd prize and Victoria High School won 3rd prize. Srimangal Udayan High School for Girls won first place in science based mural, Begum Rasuljan High School won 2nd place and Mirzapur High School won 3rd place. In the quiz competition, Victoria High School won 1st place, Bangladesh Tea Research Institute High School won 2nd place and Buds Residential Model School & College won 3rd place. Apart from this, certificates for contribution to science education were awarded to 150 present students. In this fair, school-based science awards are distributed to each school and madrasa. Shah Mustafa Jamia Islamia High School, Haji Manchab Ardash High School, Hooghly distributed science laboratory equipment to encourage students in science education. In the afternoon discussion session, distribution of prizes and distribution of science lab equipment was held in the school campus. Under the chairmanship of Upazila Education Officer and Academic Supervisor Sanjit Kumar Biswas, Upazila Executive Officer Ali Rajib Mahmud Mithun was present as the chief guest.
Project Coordinator Md Morsalin Mukit spoke among others, Bangladesh Freedom Foundation Executive Parichalam Sajjadur Rahman Chowdhury, MCDA Chief Executive Tahirul Islam Milan, President Mizanur Rahman Alam, Victoria High School Assistant Principal Abdur Rahman, Udayan Girls High School teacher Kavita Rani Das. etc.
