In order to eliminate rabies from the country, an information meeting was held on the occasion of the implementation of Mass Dog Vaccination (MDV) Program-2023 in Kumarkhali Upazila of Kushtia. The information meeting was held at the Upazila Health Complex meeting room at 11:00 o’clock on Tuesday at the initiative of the disease control branch of the Department of Health. Kumarkhali Upazila Health Complex Family Planning and Health Officer Dr. Md. Akul Uddin spoke at the meeting, Upazila Awami League General Secretary and Municipal Mayor Md. Shamshuzzaman Arun addressed the meeting, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Kumarkhali, Md. Amirul Arafat, Upazila Animal Resources Officer Dr. Md. Noore Alam Siddiqui, Inspector Md. Mohsin Hossain, officer in charge of Kumarkhali police station, Dr Shamima, Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Mr. Saidur Rahman, Upazila Women Vice Chairman Marina Akter Mina, Upazila Education Officer Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Upazila Correspondent Habib Chauhan and Journalist Zaker ALi Shuva etc. Md. Rabiul Islam, project supervisor of the Department of Health, gave a briefing on the implementation of the rabies eradication and dog vaccination program.
