China must suffer extreme consequences: US
International Desk/
The United States has again threatened China with Russian aggression in Ukraine. White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said China would suffer dire consequences if it supplies Russia with weapons in the Ukraine war. It is up to them to decide whether they will help. But if they walk that path, they will pay a real price.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said on February 19 that Chinese companies are already supplying Russia with non-lethal weapons. They may even supply lethal weapons to Moscow.
Blinken warned at the time that supplying arms and ammunition to Russia would have “fatal consequences” for China. This time Jake Sullivan warned China again.
Chinese President Xi Jinping is an ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin. China has yet to condemn Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Recently, China also opposed the condemnation of Russia’s aggression in the joint statement of the G-20 summit in India last Saturday.
