Argentina’s Foreign Minister Santiago Andres Cafiero arrived in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, on a three-day visit. He arrived in Dhaka on Monday (February 27) morning.

In the afternoon, the embassy of Argentina is opening in Bangladesh. The Argentine Foreign Minister will inaugurate this embassy in Banani of the capital.

Officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that besides inaugurating the mission in Bangladesh, Santiago Cafiero will meet with Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen. Four agreements and memorandums of understanding are scheduled to be signed between the two countries, including cooperation in football and agriculture sectors, after the meeting at the Rashtriya Guest House Yamuna in the evening.

According to his scheduled schedule, the Foreign Minister of Argentina will pay tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi 32 tomorrow Tuesday. After that, the Prime Minister will have a courtesy call on Sheikh Hasina.

Later he will meet with Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi. Apart from this, Santiago Cafiero will exchange views with Bangladesh Football Federation President Kazi Salauddin tomorrow afternoon. After that he will watch the friendly football match of under-14 footballers. Cafiero will also discuss cooperation with senior officials of private sector BRAC and Supershop Unimart.
