Lutfur Rahman (Uzzal): Amal Kanti Das (three hill districts including Cox’s Bazar, Chittagong South) has been elected as a member of the Trustee Board of the Hindu Religious Welfare Trust of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. This was confirmed in a notification signed by SM Farid Ahmed, Assistant Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs on last Thursday (February 23). On this occasion, Hindu religious leaders of Bandarban district along with newly elected trustee board member Amal Kanti Das offered special prayers at the central Durga temple on Saturday (February 25) morning. On the same day, he paid tribute to the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Bandarban Muktamanch.
