Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Anisul Haque said that BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will not be able to participate in the upcoming National Assembly elections. But whether she (Khaleda Zia) will do politics or not is her personal matter. He also said that the government will not interfere there (political process).

He said this after inaugurating the 12th Orientation Course for Assistant Judges appointed through the 14th BJS examination at the Judicial Administration and Training Institute (Jethi) on Sunday (February 19).

At the time, he said that any person sentenced to two years cannot participate in the election, it is stated in the constitution. It doesn’t have to be said again.
