Lutfur Rahman (Uzzal): A two-day literature fair concluded at the premises of the District Commissioner’s office in Bandarban.Minister for Chittagong Hill Tract Affairs Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing (MP) Inaugurated the fair by flying balloons and pigeons as the chief guest on Thursday (February 16) afternoon.Later,after visiting the stalls of the fair,The minister joined the harmony platform.A discussion meeting was held during this time.Deputy Commissioner Yasmin Parvin Tibriji presided Over The Disscussion Meeting. Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Culture (Administration-1) Md.Asaduzzaman, Superintendent of Police Md.Tariqul Islam, PPM were present as special guests in the event.Bangla Academy Deputy Director Imrul Yusuf was the Main Speaker on the occasion.13 stalls participated in the fair organized by the Bandarban district administration in coordination with Bangla Academy under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture. Earlier in the morning, a workshop was organized with writers at the Bandarban Press Club.District rhymers, poets, scholars participated in the workshop.Also, on Friday (February 17) A reading and discussion session on the literature and culture of the district was held. On this day at 11 am,the local writers of the district read the literature written by the local writers.Deputy Commissioner Yasmin Parvin Tibriji was present as the chief guest in the concluding phase.Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Suraiya Akhter Sweety presided Over The Concluding Ceremony.The literary fair ended with a cultural program organized by the District Art Academy.
