Coal worker killed in a coup filed by the opponent

In Tahirpur of Sunamganj, a coal worker named Halim Mia has been killed in a complaint filed by the opponent to collect due money.
Yesterday, Thursday afternoon, he died while undergoing treatment at MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital in Sylhet.
The deceased is the son of Akkal Ali of Lakma New Para of Uor Sreepur Union of Halim Upazila. Police Station OC Syed Iftekhar Hossain confirmed this information on Thursday night.
The family members of the deceased Halim said that coal worker Halim, son of Akkal Ali of Lakma Naya para of the upazila, had an argument and fight while sitting at the tea shop next to the house on Wednesday afternoon to collect the money owed to Harun Mia, son of the deceased Abdul Malek of the same para. Later that day, he went to Haroon’s house to beat him again in the evening. Harun got angry and hit Halim on the head with a sharp knife. Family and neighbors rescued Halim and took him to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital on Wednesday night and admitted him for treatment. Later on Thursday around 6:30 pm, he collapsed while undergoing treatment.
Shafil Mia, a resident of Lakma village, a local UP member of Uor Sreepur union of the upazila, said that the deceased Halim and the opponent Harun are cousins of each other. Halim was killed in the case filed by Haroon mainly to collect the due money.
Mohammad Shahadat Hossain, SI (Beat Officer) of Tahirpur Police Station, said that several police teams are working in the field to arrest the killer Haroon.
