A defamation case of Tk 500 crore has been filed against barrister Syed Syedul Haque Sumon. Abdus Sobhan Golap, MP of Madaripur-3 Constituency and Publicity and Publication Secretary of Awami League, filed a case against this Supreme Court lawyer in Dhaka Metropolitan Third Joint Judge Court on Thursday.
In the application, he said, barrister Suman has defamed me by going to the ACC and making a false complaint in addition to the video. I have filed a defamation case against him for Rs 500 crore.

In this regard, Suman said, I saw the matter on an online portal. I will take further action after receiving legal notice.

Recently, Suman filed a written complaint with the ACC about the ‘home buying’ of rose in the United States. Abdus Sobhan Golap bought several houses in other countries besides New York. He has amassed a huge amount of illegal wealth at home and abroad by abusing his power. Suman requested to investigate the matter and take necessary measures.
