Lutfur Rahman (Uzzal): Bhaggokul-Kadukhola High School, Bandarban held the annual sports competition finale & prize distribution ceremony. On Tuesday (February 7) morning, the closing ceremony & prize distribution of the annual sports competition was held at Sadar Upazila’s Bhaggokul-Kadukhola High School ground. Yasmin Parvin Tibriji,Deputy Commissioner of Bandarban was present as the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony of the annual sports competition. Speaking as the chief guest on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Yasmin Parvin Tibriji said that sports competition is a big part of education. Sports should be done along with education. If you want to develop your talent, you have to be self-educated. DC Bandarban also urged the students to focus more on their studies to reach their goals in life.She said that students, parents and teachers should work together to improve the quality of education, only then will it be possible to gain knowledge as well as good results. Along with education, Students should play sports. Sports keep the body healthy. DC Bandarban called upon the students to study well and work for the welfare of the country. At The Time, DC gave a grant of 3 lakh taka to keep the education program of School in motion. She also announced to take up a sports project to promote sports. DC also assured full cooperation to ensure teaching permit and MPO membership. Abdul Kuddus founder and president of the school presided over the event. Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sazia Afroz, Bandarban Press Club President Aminul Islam Bachchu were present as special guests in the event. Upazila Secondary Education Officer Mostafizur Rahman Bhuia, Press Club President Aminul Islam Baccu, Head Teacher Md.Abdur Rahman along with students and parents were also present. Academician member Arifur Rahman performed the duties of moderator in the event. During the annual sports competition, the guests distributed prizes among the winners of 27 events including football, 100m, 200m running, long jump, poetry and essay competition.
