Awami League presidium member, former minister Advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanak said – BNP has no shame, they are naughty. BNP said – from December 10, the country will follow the words of Khaleda Zia and her father Huzur Tarek. But till now the country is running on the words of Bangabandhu. BNP leaders and activists are complaining about losing public support. People of the country only want Sheikh Hasina. Because – Sheikh Hasina has made major developments including Metro Rail, Padma Bridge, Sylhet International Airport, Sylhet-Dhaka 6 lane road.

He said these things while addressing the Chief Guest at the ‘Peace Rally’ organized by Sylhet District and Metropolitan Awami League on Saturday (February 4) at 4 pm in the premises of Central Shaheed Minar in Chowhatta, Mahagarh in protest of BNP’s ‘terrorism and anarchy’.

Jahangir Kabir Nanak also said – BNP-Jamaat cannot accept the development of Sheikh Hasina. So they are running terror-anarchy across the country. Shahjalal shrine was attacked by grenade during this BNP regime. They want to kill Sheikh Hasina by throwing bombs. 14 leaders of Awami League were killed by their grenades. For voting Awami League, many Hindu families were subjected to violence in the manner of Pakistani invaders. Awami League has cut the hands of many leaders and activists, and plucked out their eyes. Awami League leaders and activists could not go to the office. They turned the country into a hotbed of terror.

This presidium member of Awami League said – the young generation has seen the violence of BNP across the country in the name of movement. On the other hand, he saw the development of the country under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina. Therefore, this generation wants to see the country as a rich country under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina in the world.

Addressing BNP leaders, Jahangir Kabir Nanak said – Don’t break our patience. We want people’s peace. Bangabandhu taught it to us, Sheikh Hasina initiated it. We are not weak because we are silent. Speak the language of politics. National Assembly elections will be held next December or January. Go to the people and earn their trust and if possible come to power through votes.

Questioning who is the leader of BNP, Nanak said – who is their leader? One of their leaders, Khaleda Zia, is an accused. Sheikh Hasina has been mercifully kept out of jail. And Tariq Rahman is living a luxurious life sitting in London. He is also an accused. But in the state of the king. Where is the source of money for his luxurious lifestyle?

Jahangir Kabir Nanak, instructing the party leaders and workers to be vigilant, said that domestic and foreign conspiracies are going on against Sheikh Hasina. All conspiracies must be answered with vigilance. The conspirators should remember that Sheikh Hasina cannot be suppressed by anything.

Sylhet-3 Constituency MP Habibur Rahman MP, United Kingdom Awami League General Secretary Syed Sajidur Rahman and Joint General Secretary Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury were present as special guests in the rally.

Also, leaders of Sylhet district and metropolitan Awami League and allied organizations were present in the rally.
