During the period of the Awami League government,the most development took place in the hills.Minister for Chittagong Hill Tract Affairs Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing (MP) Commented that this progress of development will continue in the future.

On Friday morning (February 3),Minister Bir Bahadur made this comment while appearing as the chief guest at a discussion meeting to inaugurate various development works in Vangamura Neighborhood of Kuhalong Union No.2, Bandarban Sadar.Minister Bir Bahadur said that,the Awami League government has signed a peace agreement to establish peace in the hills.

To improve the quality of life of the people living in the hills,schools,colleges, mosques,temples, Buddhist Vihars,roads are being built in various upazilas.As a result of which the massive development of the hill district has been visible.The hill minister also said that,Many People of BNP were in power At Bandarban earlier,but they only filled their own pockets.No attention was given to education,health and development of the area.But under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during the current Awami League government,hilly area is now moving forward in the progress of development.

On this day,Minister Bir Bahadur inaugurated the Bhangamurapara Buddhist Vihar construction work,Bhangamurapara School dormitory construction work and Bhangamurapara Buddhist Vihar Deshana Ghar construction work implemented by the Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board at a cost of Tk 1 crore 25 lakhs.Also distributed various materials including 100 blankets,20 spray machines as agricultural aids,10 goats for the self-employment of poor women to protect the local residents from winter.
