Zaker Ali Shuva: Synchronous cultivation of boro paddy has been inaugurated under Rabi incentive program in the financial year 2022-2023 in Kumarkhali upazila of Kushtia.

DC of Kushtia, Mohammad Saidul Islam, inaugurated the planting of mechanized Boro rice seedlings of hybrid varieties of Boro rice by setting up a block exhibition in Rabi season in the field of Nandalalpur Union of Kumarkhali upazila organized by the Directorate of Agricultural Extension, Khamarbari Kushtia on Sunday afternoon.

This program was started in the upazila this year through rice seedling planting machine (Rich Trans Planter). Among 95 farmers of Nandalalpur area, 4,500 trays of hybrid rice seedlings will be planted on 50 acres of land. 40 percent of the land can be planted in an hour with the help of a rice planter (Rich Trans Planter). The farmers said that the farmers will plant rice in this way to reduce the time, labor and labor on the land.
