The Minister of Education has complained that there is misinformation about the new curriculum books. Deepu Moni. He said, ‘New curriculum books are being spread. Those who complain about books, but no one teaches our national curriculum books. Many of them have not even read these books. I will ask everyone to check the truth.’

He said these things while inaugurating ‘Shikhtari’ for children’s play-based and experiential education of riverside development agency BRAC at Al-Amin Academy School and College in Chandpur city on Friday afternoon. Organized ‘BRAC Education Programme’.

The education minister said, ‘BRAC has converted many schools into educational schools on the occasion of its 50th anniversary. They are using very accessible materials, through pictures, through animations, showing all the subjects of science, all the subjects of mathematics. At the same time, the issue of humanity, the issue of values so that we can teach our students from an early age… is the core of our new curriculum. How to learn with pleasure without memorizing – this is the focus of the curriculum.’

BRAC Director of Education, Skill Development and Migration Program Safi Rahman Khan spoke on the occasion among others Additional Superintendent of Police of Chandpur District Yasir Arafat, Chandpur Sadar UNO Sanjida Shahnaz, Chandpur Municipality Mayor Zillur Rahman Jewel, Head of BRAC Education Program Prafulla Chandra Barman and others.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary (Golden Jubilee) of BRAC, the BRAC Education Program has initiated a special program. Under this, ‘Science’, ‘Mathematics’ and ‘Values’ – three subject-based ‘experiential education’ – started in September 2022 from the north-east district of Sunamganj. Efforts are being made to create interest in the three mentioned subjects among the students through education. The boats stop for 7 to 10 days at various ports en route.
