Foreign Minister and MP of Sylhet-1 Constituency Dr. AK Abdul Momen said – the present government is working sincerely to ensure the health care of the people of Greater Sylhet. The ICU-3 unit of MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital will make a valuable contribution to save the lives of the people of the region – especially the critically ill patients. NCDC unit will also contribute.

The foreign minister said this while addressing the chief guest at the opening ceremony of Osmani Hospital’s ICU-3 and NCDC units and ‘Hrideye Bangabandhu’ corner on Friday (January 27) noon.

At this time, the minister urged the concerned authorities to start the work of the second wing of Osmani Medical College Hospital and said that it is necessary to start the work of the second wing of Osmani Hospital quickly to reduce the pressure on the hospital and expand the health care of the people of Sylhet.

He instructed to start the land acquisition work for this quickly and said that once this is done the people of Sylhet will no longer have to go abroad for treatment. As it will save foreign currency, people’s lives will also be protected.
