International Desk/
Finally, Germany and the United States have promised to give Leopard-2 and Abrams tanks to Ukraine.
But Russia warned Kiev on Wednesday that if Western countries supply heavy tanks to Ukraine, they will be destroyed on the battlefield. News CNN.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said it was a technically failed plan. This will give the Ukrainian army an added advantage, such a perception is wrong. This tank will be burned like other war equipment. The only difference is, they are very expensive.
Anatoly Antonov, the Russian ambassador to the United States, said in a statement last Tuesday that the Russian army will destroy the US-made Abrams tanks and other NATO military equipment if they are supplied to Ukraine.
Regarding the M-1 Abrams tanks agreed to be given to Kiev by the US, Anatoly said, an analysis of the entire sequence of Washington’s actions shows that the US is constantly increasing the limits of military assistance to its puppet government.
It is clear that Washington is deliberately trying to cause us a strategic defeat. US support for invasion of Crimea is also being given the green light. The US is trying to cover up the crimes committed by the fundamentalists against the people of Donbass, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions.
Anatoly Antonov also said that if the United States decides to supply tanks to Kiev, their action will be seen as another clear provocation against Russia. There should be no confusion as to who is the real aggressor in the current conflict.
Regarding the supply of tanks to Kiev, US officials say that the Biden administration has finalized plans to send 30 Abrams tanks to Ukraine.
Meanwhile, according to official sources, the German media said that German Chancellor Olaf Schultz has agreed in principle to give Leopard-2 tanks to Ukraine after weeks of speculation. In addition to the United States and Germany, the United Kingdom, Poland, Norway and Finland have promised to give tanks to Kiev.
Peskov warned that any approval by Berlin to supply tanks to Ukraine would inevitably affect relations between Russia and Germany, which are already at a low ebb. Such activity does not bode well for the future either. The matter should be investigated.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has long sought heavy weapons, including tanks, from Western allies including the United States to counter Russia on the battlefield. In response to his request, some European countries including UK, Poland, Finland have already agreed to give tanks to Ukraine.
