The emergency meeting of Gaibandhar Palashbari Press Club was held at the press club building on Tuesday evening.

Press club president Rabiul Hossain Pata presided over the meeting held in Palashbari press club’s own building on Tuesday (January 24) night. All the members of press club were present at that time.

In the meeting, the journalist leaders expressed their concern and demanded the withdrawal of the false case filed by the UP Chairman against the editor and journalist Ripon Khandkar of Dhaka Post.

Besides, the decision to expel Ashraful Alam, Social Services Affairs Secretary of the club for life on charges of anti-organizational activities, was unanimously approved.
