In order to bring dynamics in fuel supply and deal with the artificial crisis, on the initiative of the district administration Sylhet and the representatives of three state-owned fuel distribution companies (Padma, Meghna, Yamuna) on Monday (January 23) in various petrol pumps and filling stations of Sylhet district, the stock register and oil reserves were checked on the ground.

Sylhet District Administration Executive Magistrate. Under the leadership of Mahbubul Islam, this inspection program was conducted at various pumps and filling stations adjacent to Sylhet city and Dhaka-Sylhet highway.

At that time, Mahbubul Islam said, “This is our initiative according to the instructions of Sylhet District Commissioner and District Magistrate Md. Mujibur Rahman. A check of the stock and sales registers did not reveal any crisis. However, there is some additional demand for fuel during the irrigation season. We will continue this activity in public interest.”

Before this, on January 17, 2023, district administration Sylhet issued instructions to fuel oil selling pumps and filling stations to properly store the stock register.
