Death of a person injured in a road accident in Jaintapur

Vinoy de Sajib, who was injured in a road accident in Sylhet’s Jaintapur, died. He died yesterday afternoon while undergoing treatment in a private hospital. Vinoy de Sajib (35) was injured in a road accident. Insurance company official Binoy De Sajib is the son of Kabindra Kumar De of Khat Khali village of Doarabazar upazila of Sunamganj. Earlier on Sunday, he was injured in a road accident in front of Taiyab Ali Degree College at a place called Ferighat in Jaintapur on the Sylhet-Tamabil highway. He lived with his family at Pallabi-19 house in Panitula area of Sylhet city. Another colleague named Raich Munshi (38) was injured in the accident.

The deceased’s younger brother Pintu De said that his elder brother Sajib De was working as a unit manager of Metlife Insurance Company. He was going to Jaintapur on a motorcycle with one of his colleagues for office work on Sunday. On the way, Taiyab met with an accident in front of Ali Degree College. Seeing both of them lying on the road, two college students rescued them and took them to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital in an auto-rickshaw. However, Sajib Dey was taken to a private clinic in Sylhet city on Sunday night and he died on Monday afternoon.

Meanwhile, no one could see how the two met with an accident. They were found lying on the road with serious injuries due to the accident. Raich Munshi (38), who was with Binoy De Sajib, was injured in the accident. He is Associate Manager of MetLife Insurance Company. Raich Munshi is currently undergoing treatment at Osmani Hospital.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jaintapur Model Police Station Golam Dastgir Ahmed said that he has inquired about the accident. The deceased worked in an insurance company. An investigation is underway into how the accident happened.
