Lutfur Rahman (Uzzal): Minister for Chittagong Hill Tract Affairs Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing (MP) Said that the development of hills is now on everyone’s lips.Once the hill region was a very difficult and remote area.After the current Awami League government came to power,the massive development work of Chittagong Hill Tracts has been accelerated which is benefiting the common people.

The hill Tracts minister urged all ethnic groups to live together and keep distance from terrorists and criminals to continue this trend of development.Minister Bir Bahadur called on everyone to be aware and beware of the evil nature person who wants to hinder the progress of development.

Minister for Chittagong Hill Tract Affairs Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing (MP) said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the distribution of agricultural materials among farmers in Bandarban with the aim of increasing agricultural production through the use of modern agricultural technology and machinery.

Minister Bir Bahadur,Expressing hope that distribution of modern machinery to farmers will increase the amount of production in the hills,the Minister further said that in the future,the name of Chittagong Hill Tracts will rise above all in the revenue sector of the country.And the farmers of the hill districts will be more economically independent.

On Saturday (January 21) at noon,the minister appeared as the chief guest at Rajbila Union in Bandarban and distributed these agricultural machinery and materials.
These implements include combined harvesting machines,transplanters and power tillers.With the use of this modern machinery,farmers can now plant and harvest paddy in a very short time and easily.With the help of Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board and Agriculture Department,these modern agricultural machines are given to various associations.

Later,Minister Bir Bahadur inaugurated various development projects including bridges,Buddhist Vihar,irrigation drains, roads,schools built at different places in Rajbila Union cost of around nine crore fifty lakhs Tk.This Project Will Be implemented by the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED),Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board,Bandarban Hill District Council.Additional Deputy Commissioner of Bandarban Md.Saiful Islam,Additional Superintendent of Police Md.Shah Alam,Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Shajia Afroz,Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) Executive Engineer Ziaul Islam Majumdar,public representatives,officials of various organizations and local farmers were present.
