Abdullah Al Mamun: 51st National School, Madrasah and Technical Education Winter Sports Competition 2023 has started in Chapainawabganj. Deputy Commissioner AKM Galiv Khan auspiciously started the opening ceremony by blowing balloons at the Dr. AAM Mesbahul Haque (Bachchu Doctor) Stadium in the district city on Friday (January 20) at the initiative of the District Education Office.

In the speech of the chief guest, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized on increasing sports practice in all educational institutions including schools, madrasas and he expressed hope that through this sports competition, qualified players will be prepared to compete at the national level.

Chairman of Chapainawabganj Zilla Parishad Brave freedom fighter Md. Ruhul Amin, Brave freedom fighter Advocate Abdus Samad and District Education Officer Abdur Rashid spoke as special guests on the occasion under the chairmanship of Additional District Commissioner (General) Agriculturist Ahmed Mahbub-ul-Islam.

Students of different educational institutions of five Upazila of Chapainawabganj district participated in the winter sports competition.

The competition will end on Sunday (January 22) with the distribution of prizes to the winners.
