The police recovered the body of a young man from a residential hotel in Sylhet city.

The deceased youth is Shahed Mosharraf (35) son of Abdul Karim of Tilagaon Miapara area of Kulaura upazila of Moulvibazar district.

On Friday (January 20), the body of the deceased youth was recovered from Lovely Hotel and Restaurant in Lalbazar area adjacent to Bandar Bazar at around 2:30 PM.

According to police sources, Shahed Mosharraf (35) has been living at Lovely Hotel and Restaurant located in Lalbazar of the city for a long time. He used to beg in different areas of the city. He is a tuberculosis patient and various papers on the treatment of tuberculosis have also been found from him. Hotel authorities said he was ill since this morning. The police came and recovered the body from room number 25 of the hotel after receiving the information around noon. It is initially believed that he died due to illness. The body was sent to Osmani Medical College Hospital.
