The court has sent the head teacher Ayesha Akhter (45), who was arrested while selling government textbooks in Shaistaganj, to jail. Meanwhile, the police said that they will apply for remand against him.

The teacher was sent to jail on Wednesday afternoon. She is the wife of deceased Abdullah of Kadmatli village of Shaistaganj upazila. Upazila Primary Education Officer seized 400 books of primary 5th class of the current academic year from a hawker’s van in Nasratpur area last Tuesday afternoon. The teacher was arrested in this incident. Moreover, education officer Mohammad Ali filed a case with Shaistaganj police station as plaintiff. However, the teacher said that she is innocent. School teachers sell those books to hawkers. He was present at that time.

OC Nazmul Haque Kamal said that when the teacher was sent to court due to the case, the court sent her to jail. However, remand may be applied for uncovering the mystery.
