Sylhet District Police Master Parade, Monthly Welfare Meeting and Crime Meeting held. On Sunday (January 15) at 8:30 am, a master parade was held at the Sylhet District Police Lines Parade Ground with the participation of various unit in-charges, officers and forces of the district. Sylhet District Superintendent of Police Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun received the salute from the well-decorated dais and inspected the parade. At this time, the Superintendent of Police awarded GS (Good Service) marks to the officer-forces participating in the parade based on their physical fitness and turn out. After inspecting the parade, he expressed his satisfaction and gave various directives to all the members of the district police.

Later at 10 am under the chairmanship of Superintendent of Police and Osmaninagar Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Rafiqul Islam, District Police Line Martyr SP M. Monthly welfare meetings are held in Shamchul Haque Auditorium. Shahriar Bin Saleh, Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration & Finance) (promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Police), Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime & Ops) Sheikh Md. Salim, Abu Sufian, Additional Superintendent of Police (Traffic) and all senior officers were present in the meeting among others. , the officer-in-charge of the police station and the officer-forces of various units.

In the meeting, various steps were taken to maintain law and order in the district and for the overall welfare of the officer force. Besides, in recognition of the good work of the month of December-2022, 17 police officers-forces from various ranks of officer forces were given mementos and cash awards based on criteria in different categories determined by Police Headquarters, Dhaka. Among them, Zakir Hossain, Additional Superintendent of Police of Jokiganj Circle, Best Officer In-charge of Jokiganj Police Station, Md. Mosharraf Hossain, and SI (ret:) Emrul Kabir of Goainghat Police Station received the award for the best circle. The Best Investigating Officer Award is given. Apart from this, Saju Ahmed, a child of Jaintapur in Sylhet district, was awarded the cash prize by the Superintendent of Police for achieving the best goalkeeper in the Under-17 format in the Bangmata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Gold Cup 2023.

The monthly crime meeting was held at the conference room of the Superintendent of Police office at 2.30 pm. It discussed overall progress in case investigation along with review of overall crime statistics of the district for the month of December-2022. Later, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun thanked everyone for the good overall law and order in the district for the month of December-2022 and significant progress in the overall matters including case investigation.
