Sylhet district BNP president Abdul Qayyum Chowdhury said that the people of the country are fed up with the rampant looting and misrule of the Awami League government. Nishirat’s government has shown complete failure in running the country. Now, to cover up their misdeeds, they are conspiring against his Zia family. Because they fear the popularity of the Zia family. The government is always in fear of country leader Begum Khaleda Zia and country hero Tarek Rahman. Because if they get a chance to do politics independently in the country, Awami League will not exist. Therefore, the former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia has been housebound since Durga Day, the countryman Tarek Rahman, his wife Dr. Jobaida Rahman is not allowed to return to the country. In a purely political vindictive manner they have now staged a drama of confiscation of assets through their subordinate courts. No conspiracy can destroy the love for the martyred President Ziaur Rahman and his family from the hearts of the people of this country. If these misdeeds are not stopped soon, they will have to pay a heavy price.

He said these things in the president’s speech after the protest march organized by BNP in Sylhet district to protest against the confiscation of property of BNP Acting Chairman Tariq Rahman and his wife Zubaida Rahman on Sunday (January 8) around 1:30 pm.

District BNP president also said that BNP will not go to farce elections. Leaders and activists will resist the election even if they give their lives. And if there is a fair election in the country, the people will give the responsibility of running the country to BNP. Therefore, the party’s leaders and workers from all parts of the party should stand united against this oppressive government.

The procession started from Sylhet Central Shaheed Minar, circled the main main road of the city and ended with a short rally at Court Point. Meanwhile, General Secretary of Sylhet District BNP, Advocate Emran Ahmed Chowdhury said that the order to confiscate property is completely conspiratorial. Tariq Rahman’s property means entire Bangladesh. The movement of BNP cannot be stopped by confiscation of property. Awami League does not agree with the word of fair elections. BNP movement will continue if power is not transferred. In this country, daytime voting will not be allowed to be held at night. This fascist government is running out of time.
