Microbus hits police van in Habiganj, 4 injured

Four people were injured when a police pickup overturned after being hit by a microbus in Madhavpur.
The accident happened on Monday (January 2) near the Bejura bridge of the upazila.
The injured are pickup driver Abul Hossain, bodyguard Titu Burman, constable Sujan Das and Masum Ahmed. They have been treated at Upazila Health Complex.
Madhavpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Muhammad Abdur Razzak said that at around 10 am, Madhavpur Circle Assistant Superintendent of Police Nirmalendu Chakraborty left for Habiganj on government work. A Dhaka-bound microbus hit a police pickup on the way. The police pickup overturned on the highway. Four policemen were injured in the accident.
Madhavpur Circle Assistant Superintendent of Police Nirmalendu Chakraborty said that the microbus lost control and hit the police car. We were narrowly saved. A few members were slightly injured.
