Jaintapur upazila of Sylhet held annual sports competition and prize distribution on the occasion of the month of victory.

On Thursday (December 29) around 2 o’clock in the area adjacent to the traditional Rajbari field of the upazila, organized by the social organization Paschim Gourishankar Ekta Jubo Sporting Club and sponsored by the philanthropic American expatriate community leader Rotarian Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury Khosru under the chairmanship of the president of the organization Jewel Ahmed Babu and general secretary. Under the direction of young philanthropist Delwar Hossain, General Secretary of Jaintapur Upazila Sports Association and Organizational Secretary of Upazila Awami League Hanif Mohammad were present as chief guest. Nijpat Union Awami League leader Abdul Matin Shaheen, SI Mohibur of Jaintapur Model Police Station were present as chief guests. Rahman, upazila assistant youth development officer Mostafa Hasan Ashkari, and office officer Azharul Kabir, Jaintapur upazila correspondent of Sylhet Dinrat newspaper Sohail Ahmad, labor leader Saiful Islam, Sohail Ahmad, Yahia Ahmad, Zuber Ahmed and other leaders of various levels of the organization.

At the beginning of the program, a friendly football match and various sports and dance programs among the students of Shikhan School ended with the distribution of prizes.
