A 15-year-old schoolgirl kidnapped in Gaibandha has been rescued from Patenga in Chittagong. At this time RAB-7 also arrested the kidnapper. His name is Md. Shakil Mia (22). He was arrested from Karnaphuli EPZ area of Patenga police station in the city on Monday (December 26) at 3:30 pm.

RAB-7 senior assistant director (media) confirmed the matter. Nurul Abshar said that Shakil Mia used to propose love to the victim student in Palashbari area of Gaibandha district on the way to and from school. The student informed his parents. The student’s parents request Shakil Mia not to bully her daughter. Enraged by this, Shakil Mia kidnapped the student with the help of two or three unidentified people on his way back from coaching on the afternoon of May 28. Later the victim’s father filed a case in Palashbari police station accusing 5 people as the plaintiff.

He further said that the student was rescued by raiding the Karnaphuli EPZ area under Patenga police station based on secret information. At this time, the mastermind of the kidnapping ring. Shakil Mia has been arrested. During preliminary interrogation, Shakeel admitted his involvement in the abduction.
