A schoolgirl committed suicide by jumping from the third floor after failing the exam

In Sylhet, a student of class VII committed suicide by jumping from the third floor of the school after failing the annual examination. He was studying in Sylhet Government High School under Airport Police Station. The incident took place on Monday (December 26) around 2 am. He died the following day at 11am on Tuesday morning while undergoing treatment at Omeck Hospital.
The deceased student is Priyanka Goala Rinki (13), daughter of Niren Goala of Lakkatura area.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Sylhet Metropolitan Police Sudeep Das confirmed the truth of this matter.
According to police and local sources, Priyanka Goala was a class VII student of Ringki Sylhet Government High School. He failed in two subjects in this year’s annual examination. The results were published last Monday. Rinki was present in the school that day. Unable to bear the fact of failing in two subjects, he jumped from the third floor of the school building at around 2 o’clock that day and was seriously injured. Later he was rushed to the emergency department of Osmani Medical College Hospital. He died at around 11:30 am on Tuesday while undergoing treatment there.
Meanwhile, Rinki’s mother appealed to the Additional District Magistrate to receive the body without post-mortem. That application is accepted. As a result, the body was handed over to the family without post-mortem.
Airport police station duty officer SI Dilip Kumar Chandra Sarkar said that a case of wrongful death has been filed in the police station.
