On the occasion of Christmas, like every year, the Chiknagul Presbyterian Church of the upazila is decorated with red, blue and green LED lights in the colors of the festival. On the occasion of Christmas on December 25, guests and visitors participated in various events in the church from morning in a festive atmosphere.

On the occasion of the day, Sylhet District Police Superintendent Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun cut a cake in the church. Assistant Superintendent of Police Kanighat Circle Abdul Karim, Officer-in-Charge of Jaintapur Model Police Station, SI Sahid Mia, Rev. Philip Samaddar, General Secretary of the Church Pradeep Kumar Sharma, Elbat Biswas, Rolin Sharma, Philemon Biswas, Michael Kumar Sharma, Edu Biswas and others were present.

Church visitors said, today is the birthday of our Jesus. He came for the salvation of people, for welfare. This birthday of his teaches us welfare, equality, rectitude.
