Illegal shops in front of Habiganj Sadar police station and hospital have been evicted. Apart from this, the police has launched an operation to eliminate the brokers. For a long time, an organized racket has started to emerge in the hospital. People coming from villages are tricked into private hospitals and extorted huge sums of money. Apart from this, illegal shops occupying government land on both sides of the hospital and mobile fruit shops have been set up on both sides of the police station and in the circuit house area. After evening, these shops become the sanctuary of various criminals. Many believe that various crimes originate from here. As a result, it remains beyond the reach of the law enforcement agencies. When the matter came to the attention of the police, the police under the leadership of OC Golam Mortuza of Sadar Model Police Station cleared the shops and started an operation to catch the broker in the hospital. However, the brokers were trapped when they sensed the presence of the police. The police then vacated the shops and seized some mobile shops. OC said that the operation will continue regularly. Legal action will be taken against anyone who re-seats.
