Christmas celebration in Kumarkhali
Staff Reporter: Christmas, the biggest religious festival of Christians, was celebrated with various ceremonies and due religious solemnity in Kumarkhali, Kushtia. On this day Jesus Christ, the founder of Christianity, was born in Bethlehem, Palestine. The Christians of Kumarakhali celebrate the day with proper religious rituals, joyous festivals and prayers.
Since Sunday (December 25) morning, Christians have started coming to the churches. From the morning, Christian children, women and men join together in prayer and pray for the happiness of the future. At this time, Christian devotees called upon everyone to live together beautifully on earth according to the guidance of Jesus. Children of Light Church of Malliat village of the upazila and Faith Bible Church of Batikamara have organized various activities on the occasion of the day.
Organized by Bangladesh Christian Association Kushtia District Branch and with the support of Upazila Administration Kumarkhali, after the congregational prayer, everyone joined together in the worship of Jesus. At this time, the Christians showed different directions of Jesus through the collective music.
