Argentina beat France to win the Qatar World Cup. Since then, the team in blue and white jersey has been celebrating breaking the barrier. But some celebrations have been accused of crossing ‘limits’. For example, after winning the Golden Gloves, the goalkeeper of the team, Amy Martinez, celebrated by making a ‘obscene gesture’.
After the final, Amy Martinez-De Paulra went to the dressing room to celebrate. There, France’s young striker cheered Kylian Mbappe. It does not end there. Amy Martinez celebrates with a doll in her lap as she parades back home in an open-top bus. Whose face was Mbappe.
The French Football Federation (FFF) has filed an official complaint in the incident. They felt Emmy had done “too much (insulting)” by celebrating with a doll at the end. France’s federation told Argentina’s football association that it was unusual for them to celebrate by belittling others.
FFF president Noel Le Graet said: “They have done a terrible thing. These boys gave the maximum for French football. We support them. “What was done was extreme misconduct, it cannot be unsportsmanlike conduct,” he told the Argentina Association. Look at Mbappe’s behavior, exemplary.”
French Finance Minister Bruno Le Marie even asked FIFA to investigate the matter, saying, “This is a very bad insult.” What is FIFA doing? Sports ground is a place of fair play. A place to show respect to opponents. That respect should be shown more to the losing team.’
